When choosing the right brush size, there are several factors to consider. You’ll want a brush that corresponds comfortably to the size of your hand. The style you want to achieve is another factor. You may find that a larger barrel size helps you achieve better results for long, straight hair; and a small or medium barrel may help you achieve smaller waves and curls better. With proper care, your brush will improve over time. Use gentle cleaning methods, such as a brush cleaner or sanitizing spray, instead of soaps and detergents that may harm the brush. When using a hair dryer, point in a downward motion to avoid exposing the brush to direct heat for extended periods of time. It is best not to immerse the brush in water, as it may damage the wood. If you use water to clean the brush, allow it to dry for at least 48 hours before using heat.
