Fabio, tell us about your Fashion Week experience this year
I had the privilege to join the Kérastase team at New York Fashion week this year. As expected it was very busy but also very inspiring. As an artistic director my creativity thrives in that type of environment.
Could you give us a sneak peek of upcoming hair trends?
I observed lots of natural waves that mimicked the natural texture of the hair. My team and I, created many looks with face-framing waves with straight ends. The final look gives off a different feeling compared to the curls that we are used to seeing. In the past months, I’ve noticed hair accessories such as statement clips, scarves, and headbands are becoming a big hair trend. It’s a great way to accent your beautiful hairdo. It also works as a statement piece.
How do you style your hair with accessories?
In my opinion, the hair itself is an accessory and adding little extra bling or a scarf adds another layer of movement and dimension to the overall look.
Got it! last question– what is the ‘must-have’ hair products from fashion week?
One product that I cannot work without is the Kérastase V.I.P Volume-in-powder. It gives the hair immediate body, volume, and grip. In addition to this, the L’incroyable blowdry heat lotion as well as the L’incroyable crème, both by Kerastase are my must-haves. These products contain heat-sensitive micro wax technology that allows the hair to set and re-set styles easily. The products also have 450° thermo-protection, which is crucial in order to maintain the integrity of the hair.
